I reached out to Moody Publishers to see if they might be willing to send a copy for me to review and a copy for me to giveaway. They were quick to say yes!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6869\" src=\"https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/affiliate-links.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"70\" srcset=\"https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/affiliate-links.png 600w, https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/affiliate-links-300x35.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<h4>I\u2019m excited to share with you my thoughts on <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2M8K2Ug\" rel=\"\u201dnofollow\u201d\">Leading Women Who Wound: Strategies for an Effective Ministry<\/a>.<\/h4>\n<p>I don\u2019t have a lot of books on my must-own list for women\u2019s ministry, but this is definitely one of them!<\/p>\n<p>Raise your hand if you\u2019ve ever had to deal with conflict in ministry.<\/p>\n<p>Yep, me too!<\/p>\n<p>If we\u2019re not in the midst of navigating a conflict, chances are there\u2019s one coming and it\u2019s best to be prepared beforehand. \u201cA wise leader understands that Satan <em>loves<\/em>&nbsp;to use conflict to destroy ministry.\u201d<\/p>\n<h5><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2M8K2Ug\" rel=\"\u201dnofollow\u201d\">Leading Women Who Wound<\/a> provides practical strategies we can employ when working through conflict resolution.<\/h5>\n<blockquote><p>We all wound one another from time to time. Refusing to become skilled at reconciliation will doom you to a lonely life of superficial relationships. Both Sue and Kelley have been active in women\u2019s ministry for many years and share true stories from the front lines of ministry.<\/p>\n<p>They share in such a way that you feel them coming alongside you, encouraging and coaching you to love the very women who may wound you.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Most critics are normal, healthy people who are displeased or hurt and need attention. They need to know that you care about them and that you will listen to their ideas.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2M8K2Ug\" rel=\"\u201dnofollow\u201d\">Leading Women Who Wound<\/a> would be an excellent book to work through with your team this next year. Consider covering one chapter each month at your team meetings. Be sure to check out the Conflict Resolution Covenant for women\u2019s ministry teams included in chapter 8.<\/p>\n<p>Four things set this book on conflict resolution apart from others:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The goal is always to glorify God.<\/li>\n<li>Advice is offered through the lens of the Gospel.<\/li>\n<li>The differences between how men and women handle conflict are discussed.<\/li>\n<li>In light of how men and women handle conflict differently, there is an entire chapter written to male pastors to help them navigate those differences and help women move toward reconciliation and healing.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>While I hope and pray this book won\u2019t be one you\u2019ll have to repeatedly pull from your bookshelves and put into use \u2013 <strong>it is a book you\u2019ll want easily accessible when conflict arises.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>May God grant each one of us wisdom and humility when we encounter conflict.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Disclosure: I received two copies at no cost of <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2M8K2Ug\" rel=\"\u201dnofollow\u201d\">Leading Women Who Wound;<\/a> one to give away and one to review.
