Last week I shared a brand new, created just-for-you, icebreaker called “What’s on ur phone?<\/a>“.<\/p>\n

I thought it would be fun to come up with a Christmas version too!<\/p>\n

Christmas icebreakers are a must for any Christmas fellowship<\/a> you may be planning for your women’s ministry team, Bible study, small group, or Youth.<\/p>\n

This game is bound to bring about laughter and fun as women scramble to locate Christmas songs, Christmas-related photos, texts with Christmas lists, and more on their phones.<\/p>\n

Now I know, not all of your women have a smartphone. That\u2019s okay! This game can also be played in teams of two or more. In teams of two, one can record while the other search their phone.<\/p>\n

Note: If your location has spotty internet service or WiFi issues – no worries – they won’t be searching online for this game.<\/p>\n

Game:<\/strong>\u00a0Christmas Version: What\u2019s on ur phone?<\/p>\n

Group size:<\/strong> 6+<\/p>\n

Time needed:<\/strong> 10-20 minutes<\/p>\n

Supplies<\/strong>: One Christmas Version \u201cWhat\u2019s on ur phone?\u201d sheet per person or per team; pencils\/pens; one personal smartphone per person or team (see notes).<\/p>\n

Instructions: <\/strong>Print out copies of \u00a0the Christmas Version”What’s on ur phone?” (Click the link below to open the free PDF file.)<\/strong><\/p>\n

What’s on ur phone Christmas version<\/a><\/p>\n

Tell your group that you\u2019ll be going \u201chigh tech\u2019 with today\u2019s game. Each person\/team will have to quickly search their smartphone for a wide variety of Christmas-related photos, apps, texts, and more. For each item that fits the category listed, you\u2019ll get one point. The person\/team with the most points will be crowned the winner(s). Distribute the worksheet face-down. Give the group the time limit (somewhere between 5-10 minutes depending on your schedule). On \u201cgo\u201d give everyone 5-10 minutes to record their points.<\/p>\n

Winner:<\/strong> When time is up have everyone tally up their points and give the winner(s) a small prize or let them choose something from your Door Prize Basket<\/a>. Consider including some Christmas-themed icebreaker game prizes<\/a> too.<\/p>\n

Notes: <\/strong>Before playing you\u2019ll need to figure out if everyone in your group has a smartphone. If not, then you\u2019ll need to play this game in teams. For smaller groups, you could play in teams of 2. For larger groups, have them work together in groups of 4 or less.<\/p>\n

You want them to rush \u2013 some will be savvy and will look over the worksheet realizing that the time given will not be enough time to complete it all. You can clue them in that they may want to look over the sheet and be strategic about which items they search for first.<\/p>\n

Not only is this a great game to play at Christmas, but it’s a great game to play when you want to engage multiple generations<\/a>. Many of your older women may not have a smartphone and will want to partner with the younger and more tech-savvy women in the room.<\/p>\n
