Did you know that October is Ministry Appreciation Month?<\/h4>\n

I\u2019ll admit, it\u2019s not one I have marked on my calendar, but I should.<\/p>\n

Thank goodness it\u2019s not too late to show some appreciation!<\/em><\/p>\n

Who is God asking you to encourage this month?<\/h4>\n

  1. Pastor<\/li>\n
  2. Associate Pastor<\/li>\n
  3. Music Director<\/li>\n
  4. Children\u2019s Minister<\/li>\n
  5. Student\/Youth Pastor<\/li>\n
  6. Church Secretary<\/li>\n
  7. Church Treasurer<\/li>\n
  8. Deacon\/Deaconess or Elder<\/li>\n
  9. Women\u2019s Ministry Team<\/li>\n
  10. Publications Coordinator<\/li>\n
  11. MOPS Leader<\/li>\n
  12. Behind the scenes servant no one remembers<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    While we may not be able to easily or practically encourage all of those on the \u00a0list, we can ask God to show us who He wants us to bless and encourage.<\/p>\n

    Once you\u2019ve got the \u201cwho\u201d you\u2019ll need to figure out the \u201chow\u201d.<\/p>\n

    Some of these ideas you may wish to implement on your own or as a family.<\/p>\n

    Others you may want to tackle with your women\u2019s ministry team.<\/p>\n

    10 Ideas for Ministry Appreciation Month<\/h4>\n

    1. Breakfast<\/strong>
    \nProvide breakfast or lunch for your church staff\u2019s next meeting.<\/p>\n

    2. Cards<\/strong>
    \nWrite a heartfelt thank you card and send one to every church staff member. DaySpring offers some fantastic ministry appreciation cards<\/a>.<\/p>\n

    3. Gift Cards<\/strong>
    \nPurchase a $5 or $10 gift card (restaurant, Redbox, coffee shop) for a staff member(s).<\/p>\n

    4. Words<\/strong>
    \nSpeak words of appreciation \u2013 \u201cI appreciate your faithfulness to our Youth program.\u201d Words are powerful. You may think people know they are appreciated, but they usually don\u2019t.<\/p>\n

    5. Sweet Treat<\/strong>
    \nBless your staff with a special treat. Last year our women’s ministry team brought Bundlets in for each staff member. Just be sure to take into consideration any special dietary needs if you are aware of them.<\/p>\n

    6. Trip<\/strong>
    \nBless your Pastors and their spouse with a small trip. Give them a coupon for two nights at a nearby bed and breakfast. Let them choose the dates.<\/p>\n

    7. Coffee<\/strong>
    \nBring each staff member\u2019s favorite coffee to them early on Sunday morning before the crowds arrive.<\/p>\n

    8. Dinner<\/strong>
    \nTake them a meal or gift them the gift cards to have a date night or dinner out as a family.<\/p>\n

    9. Gift Card Baskets<\/strong>
    \nCollect gift cards from your entire congregation for a gift card basket for one or more of your staff members.<\/p>\n

    10. Personal Gift<\/strong>
