(It\u2019s no coincidence that my life verse is Jeremiah 29:11.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Please, please take the time to put together a retreat program for you women.<\/em> They will use it, I promise!<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll also find retreat programs keep you and your team organized. Not only do you have to think through every piece that\u2019s going into it, but you\u2019ll have a handy reference for answering questions that come up during the retreat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What should you include in your retreat program?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Table of Contents<\/li>\n<li>Welcome letter<\/li>\n<li>Retreat schedule<\/li>\n<li>Music lyrics<\/li>\n<li>Maps \u2013 include rooms at your retreat location that you\u2019ll be using during the weekend<\/li>\n<li>Speaker notes<\/li>\n<li>Blank or lined pages for taking notes<\/li>\n<li>Free time options<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>You might also want to include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Small group discussion questions<\/li>\n<li>Workshop information and notes<\/li>\n<li>Note of thanks to the retreat planning team<\/li>\n<li>Women\u2019s Ministry Event Calendar<\/li>\n<li>List of Retreat Planning Team members<\/li>\n<li>List of Women\u2019s Ministry Team members<\/li>\n<li>Your Women\u2019s Ministry mission statement<\/li>\n<li>Publicity for the next big Women\u2019s Ministry event<\/li>\n<li>Written prayer for the attendees<\/li>\n<li>Morning and evening devotionals (for during\/after retreat)<\/li>\n<li>Salvation Message<\/li>\n<li>Information on your speaker including her contact information<\/li>\n<li>Retreat survey<\/li>\n<li>List of on-site Prayer Team members<\/li>\n<li>Pertinent Scripture readings<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>I honestly don\u2019t think there\u2019s been a retreat program that\u2019s needed every single one of those things. So please don\u2019t feel like you have to check the box on every item listed!<\/p>\n<p>How to put your retreat program together:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bind it<\/li>\n<li>Place it in a three-prong two-pocket folder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Most of our retreat programs have been printed on both sides of the page, in part to minimize copying costs and to keep the programs from being bulky.<\/p>\n<p>Some years we have put our theme verse for the weekend in the footer of every page. <em>I forgot how much I loved that little touch until I pulled out my old retreat programs to work on these posts!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Some years we have placed a gray scale graphic behind the text on every page. The leader admitted they had \u201cthrown everything together last minute\u201d.
