\"Fellowship<\/a><\/p>\n

Last month I had the opportunity to attend a Women’s Ministry Workshop Fellowship at our new church.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve heard of other churches hosting similar events and I was eager to participate and see first-hand how it worked!<\/p>\n

Women had three workshops to choose from:<\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. Canning strawberry jam<\/li>\n
  2. Creative canvas painting<\/li>\n
  3. Spring flower arranging<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This fellowship was scheduled from 6:30-8:30 PM. The cost was $10\/person and refreshments were included.<\/p>\n

    Pre-registration was required so that adequate supplies could be purchased.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    The first hour we participated in our workshop.<\/p>\n

    During the second hour, we worked together to assemble goodies for several ministries our church is partnered with.<\/p>\n

    Last year women chose 2 workshops, but there was no mission project completed. From the bits and pieces I heard, women preferred having two workshops (not that they didn’t want to participate in the mission project!).<\/p>\n

    I chose the painting workshop \u2013 sorry I don\u2019t have photos of the others!<\/p>\n

    One of the women in our church has an art studio and teaches art classes. She did a fabulous job leading us step-by-step through the process.<\/p>\n

    It was really fun to see how different each person\u2019s painting turned out. She guided us while encouraging us to make some artistic choices \u2013 paint color, types of flowers, placement of the suggested verse, etc.<\/p>\n

    I believe we had roughly 35-40 women participate, which was a great turnout for our size church. Several of the women had attended last year and were thrilled that was\u00a0another workshop series again\u00a0this year. This is definitely one Women’s Ministry Fellowship event you could do year after year!<\/p>\n

    Half the fun was walking around and admiring what each person had accomplished!<\/p>\n

    The flower arrangements were gorgeous!<\/p>\n

    The jam smelled delicious!<\/p>\n

    \"Everyone<\/a><\/p>\n

    I love this type of fellowship for three reasons:<\/h4>\n
      \n
    1. It relies on the talents and skills of the women in your church and gets women involved that might not be your regular “women’s ministry” attendees.<\/li>\n
    2. Everyone has the opportunity to learn a new skill. Participants experience Titus 2 in action.<\/li>\n
    3. Every person goes home with something! (That could include a sample, detailed directions, or a recipe.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
