Last week we talked about The Best Devotional You Can Share<\/a>. (Please take a few minutes to read it, if you haven’t already.)<\/em><\/p>\n

We\u2019ve addressed the \u201cwhat\u201d and the \u201cwhy\u201d, today we\u2019re going to conquer the \u201chow\u201d.<\/p>\n

Look, I know there are a lot of women out there with dramatic stories of what God has done in their life.<\/p>\n

If you don\u2019t have a story involving addiction, abortion, or abuse you may feel your story is not worth sharing.<\/p>\n

I am here to tell you every woman<\/em> has a story worth sharing!<\/h4>\n

While those stories are powerful (if you\u2019ve got one and that\u2019s what God is asking you to share, by all means you should)\u00a0<\/em>seemingly \u201clittle\u201d stories pack a powerful punch too!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Women need to hear \u201ceveryday\u201d stories of what God is doing in your life.<\/h4>\n

\"God<\/a><\/p>\n

God doesn\u2019t just speak into the big stories of our lives, He speaks into the everyday stories of our lives.<\/h4>\n

God has a history of using little things to accomplish great things. Consider Goliath\u2019s stones, Gideon\u2019s jars, etc.<\/p>\n

So how do you get started?<\/h4>\n
    \n
  1. Ask God to highlight something current or very recent He is doing in your life.<\/strong> If you journal, it may be helpful to thumb through recent entries.<\/li>\n
  2. Prayerfully jot down some notes<\/strong> about what you think God wants you to share.<\/li>\n
  3. Paint a picture with your story. Bring them into that slice of your life.<\/li>\n
  4. Share a Bible verse that God is using in your life<\/strong> to refine, free, encourage, etc. you.<\/li>\n
  5. End on a note of encouragement. Encourage them that we all have struggles that God uses to help us to be more Christ-like.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Struggling?<\/strong><\/p>\n

    What is the issue God is working on with you currently? Maybe He\u2019s teaching you to be a better steward. Maybe He\u2019s put His finger on your tendency to gossip. Maybe He\u2019s taught you a lesson through your child, friend, or husband.<\/p>\n

    Remember these 3 C\u2019s and you will do fine!<\/h4>\n

    Current<\/strong> \u2013 Focus on a recent lesson. Within the last year, if possible. Keeping it current reminds women that God is always at work!<\/p>\n

    Concise<\/strong> – Remember that this is a devotional \u2013 not a speaking session. What you share should last between 5-10 minutes, no more! Practice sharing it. Record yourself and listen to make sure your story is coming across as intended. Make a few notes so you don\u2019t lose focus.<\/p>\n

    Christ-centered<\/strong> \u2013 Keep it focused on what God has done, not on dramatic details. It\u2019s about Him. Not about you. You want your women to remember what God accomplished through you\/the circumstance. When our eyes are focused on God others see that and can learn by our example.<\/p>\n
