Find out in this post!\" class=\"wp-image-14549\" srcset=\"https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Challenges-and-Prayers-Navigating-Womens-Ministry-in-2024.png 600w, https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Challenges-and-Prayers-Navigating-Womens-Ministry-in-2024-200x300.png 200w, https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Challenges-and-Prayers-Navigating-Womens-Ministry-in-2024-400x600.png 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Below you&#8217;ll find the show notes for episode 77, Challenges and Prayers: Navigating Women&#8217;s Ministry in 2024 from the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/podcast\/\">Women&#8217;s Ministry Toolbox Podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"buzzsprout-player-14314002\"><\/div><script src=\"https:\/\/www.buzzsprout.com\/1675771\/14314002-ep-77-challenges-and-prayers-navigating-women-s-ministry-in-2024.js?container_id=buzzsprout-player-14314002&#038;player=small\" type=\"text\/javascript\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:13px\">Please note: This post contains affiliate links.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Challenges and Prayers: Navigating Women&#8217;s Ministry in 2024<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>What challenges are women&#8217;s ministry leaders facing in 2024?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While I\u2019ll share a few of my personal thoughts, most of what you\u2019ll read in this post are the comments and thoughts of other leaders serving in their local church. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Let\u2019s start with the challenges.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I asked the leaders in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/groups\/womensministrytoolboxcommunity\">Women\u2019s Ministry Toolbox Community Facebook group<\/a> what they see as their biggest women\u2019s ministry challenge in 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leaders had a lot to share \u2013 there were over 140 comments! I\u2019ve combed through the responses and I\u2019m going to highlight some of those answers \u2013 many of which were shared repeatedly. Take a look and see which of these challenges you\u2019re facing too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While I\u2019ve got suggestions for meeting all of these challenges, I want to encourage you to search the Women\u2019s Ministry Toolbox website for posts on the particular challenge you\u2019re facing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>My goal today is not to solve these problems, but for you to know you are not alone.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Many leaders can relate to the <strong>challenge of women not prioritizing the study of Scripture or the body of Christ. <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>This can be so frustrating, especially when we intentionally offer multiple opportunities for women to study God\u2019s Word together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Related to that point, <strong>attendance is another challenge leaders are trying to overcome.<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>People are so busy. Families with children in sports don\u2019t have time for another night at church. It\u2019s hard to get women to commit. It seems as if some women don\u2019t see the value in what women\u2019s ministry teams are offering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">So many leaders are <strong>struggling to get every age group to participate. <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In many cases, it\u2019s a lack of younger women, but in some churches, it\u2019s the older women who don\u2019t want to serve, teach, disciple, or mentor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because this is almost a universal problem, I do want to pause and point you to a couple of resources. My book, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/41XB6FK\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">Women&#8217;s Ministry Essentials<\/a>, is also packed with ideas to help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Another challenge that resonated was <strong>recruiting volunteers and teachers. <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Few women are willing to step up and do the work. Some leaders shared that they can find women willing to help, but no one wants to lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">On the more personal side, <strong>trying to avoid burnout is a challenge for leaders. <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Striking that balance between ministry and personal life \u2013 whether you\u2019re a volunteer or paid \u2013 is hard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Can you relate? Was there one challenge in particular you\u2019re facing?<\/strong> <\/em>While it would be nice if everyone attended everything and there was no shortage of willing, solid leaders to choose from, that\u2019s just not reality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">If there were no challenges to overcome, we wouldn\u2019t need God\u2019s help!<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m reminded of the oft-quoted verse, Philippians 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. When things are hard, we can be content because we know God will give us the strength to endure the things He has called us to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">While there\u2019s not a one-size-fits-all solution I can share, there is a one-size-fits-all tactic every team needs to employ, and that is prayer.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Only by God\u2019s grace, provision, and direction, will we make progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you were discouraged reading about the challenges of women\u2019s ministry, <strong>I pray these prayers will be an encouragement to you. <\/strong>I think you\u2019ll find as I did that the hearts of women leading and serving in women\u2019s ministry in their local church are hopeful, expectant, and tender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/womensministrytoolbox\">Women\u2019s Ministry Toolbox Facebook page<\/a>, I asked <strong>\u201cWhat is one desire or prayer you have for the women in your church for the new year?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was blown away by the depth of the comments. Once again most of these comments were echoed by other leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Here are a few of the prayer leaders have for the women in their church:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>That they would <strong>grow in their relationship with the Lord<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>That their willing endurance<strong> in faith<\/strong> through the hard stuff would produce an <strong>unshakeable hope<\/strong> and <strong>contagious joy in Jesus<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>May the Lord have His way with them, <strong>transforming them from the inside out<\/strong>. That their <strong>eyes would be open <\/strong>to see Him.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>That they will <strong>grow in the knowledge of God&#8217;s Word<\/strong> and their faith in Him through Christ Jesus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For <strong>unity<\/strong>, for <strong>closer connections<\/strong>, for <strong>servant&#8217;s hearts<\/strong> towards each other. To minister to one another&#8217;s needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They would <strong>hunger for God&#8217;s Word<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To go beyond the surface level &#8211; <strong>digging deepe<\/strong>r for deeper growth.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To realize that <strong>eternal decisions and conversations<\/strong> are far more important than all other things that clamor for their attention.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To <strong>see the need for fellowship <\/strong>with each other and to desire to grow in their relationship with the Lord (to attend studies that are offered to help with that growth).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They know that they are always loved and never alone.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To <strong>deepen and develop their prayer lives<\/strong>. In private, in small groups, and corporately. May they see it as important as breathing and cherish the opportunities!<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>To know that there is something more. <\/strong>The Lord isn\u2019t finished with them! There is more to share, more to love, more to their relationship with Jesus, and a need to share the gospel more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>That they would <strong>love God first <\/strong>with all that is within them.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Are those not the most beautiful desires and prayers?!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Did you catch the repeated themes of growing in relationship with God and each other, hungering for God\u2019s Word, going deeper, praying, loving one another, and transformation? <em>Yes, please, Jesus!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are your prayers for the women in your church? <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Are you asking God to do big things in the lives of your women this year?
