And maybe some things I share will provide the <strong>nudge<\/strong> your team needs to make some changes&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before we dive in, I want you to hear my heart. <strong>You\u2019re doing a great job.<\/strong> Most of you are serving without being paid. You spend countless hours on ministry work \u2013 most of which only God sees. I know you sacrifice to serve your women. <strong>You don\u2019t need to adopt every trend I\u2019m going to mention. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I want you to ask the Lord to highlight one thing your ministry needs most and take action on that.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>As I considered women\u2019s ministry trends from 2022 and needs in 2023 one word came to mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Intentional.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>8 Women&#8217;s Ministry Trends and Predictions for 2023<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trend #1 &#8211; Long-range Planning<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019m seeing a great trend as women\u2019s ministry teams are thinking beyond the next event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leaders are <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/calendar-planning\/\">creating ministry calendars<\/a><\/strong> and <strong>setting dates<\/strong> up to a year in advance. Leaders are thinking long-term. Teams are setting aside time for longer <a href=\"https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/how-to-host-great-womens-ministry-team-meetings\/\">planning meetings<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/how-to-plan-a-womens-ministry-team-retreat\/\">planning team retreats<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-theme-primary-color has-theme-button-background-color has-text-color has-background\">Prediction #1 &#8211; I predict <strong>annual or semi-annual team planning meetings<\/strong> for women\u2019s ministry will become the norm as leaders see the fruit that results from the time spent on long-range planning. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trend #2  &#8211; Leadership Training<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Along those lines, women\u2019s ministry team leaders see the need for leadership training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Team meeting agendas include time for <a href=\"https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/team-building-icebreaker-games\/\">team-building<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>They are reading and discussing <a href=\"https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/must-read-leadership-books\/\">leadership books<\/a> with their team. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Leaders are also adding leadership-focused devotionals to their team meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are my top leadership training resource recommendations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3CxHIiQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener sponsored nofollow\">Women&#8217;s Ministry Essentials<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/womensministrytoolboxshop.com\/collections\/all\/devotionals\">Serving with the Love of Jesus team devotionals<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-theme-primary-color has-theme-button-background-color has-text-color has-background\">Prediction #2 &#8211; I predict more and more women\u2019s ministry teams will begin to budget time and money for women\u2019s ministry training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trend #3 &#8211; Teams<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Women\u2019s ministry leaders are no longer leading ministry alone. They are <a href=\"https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/how-to-build-a-womens-ministry-team\/\">building<\/a> or restructuring their teams so women are using the gifts God has given them. Rather than shuffling responsibilities with each event, team leaders see that having the same person complete the same tasks smooths the planning process. They are being intentional in <strong>how and who they ask<\/strong> to join the <strong>women\u2019s ministry team<\/strong>. They are making it a <strong>matter of prayer <\/strong>and seeking out the <strong>women God wants on their team<\/strong>, not just pulling in friends that are willing to lend a hand. They are looking for women to serve who are outside of their social circles and age group. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-theme-primary-color has-theme-button-background-color has-text-color has-background\">Prediction #3 &#8211; I predict a continued <strong>decline <\/strong>in women leading women\u2019s ministry without a team of lay leaders. I also predict a small <strong>increase<\/strong> (though I would love to see a tsunami!) of churches adding <strong>part-time and full-time women\u2019s ministry directors<\/strong> to the church staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trend #4 &#8211; Considering All Women<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Women\u2019s ministry leaders are being more intentional about planning events for <strong>all <\/strong>women \u2013 those who work, widows, homeschooling moms, and single women. Bible study offerings are expanding to include evenings. School calendars are consulted as they select dates for evening and weekend meetings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-theme-primary-color has-theme-button-background-color has-text-color has-background\">Prediction #4 &#8211; I predict an even <strong>greater need for childcare<\/strong>. Childcare isn\u2019t just a need for single moms. Homeschooling moms need childcare for older children. Grandmas are often caring for grandchildren. Husbands aren\u2019t always able or available to watch their kids so moms can go to a church event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trend #5 &#8211; Focused on God&#8217;s Word<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Women\u2019s ministry leaders are also becoming more intentional in the way they select and plan women\u2019s ministry events and activities. They are prayerfully seeking a scripture focus for their ministry year and planning activities and events that invite women to explore and go deeper into that scripture passage or verse. They are going to God before they Google. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-theme-primary-color has-theme-button-background-color has-text-color has-background\">Prediction #5 &#8211; I predict we\u2019ll see more women\u2019s ministry events, conferences, and retreats <strong>focused on God\u2019s Word<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trend #6- Linking Arms to Serve<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Leaders are beginning to link arms more and more with ministry teams inside and outside of the church. They are hosting baby showers for pregnancy centers and collecting toiletries for shelters. They are providing opportunities for women to hear from missionaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-theme-primary-color has-theme-button-background-color has-text-color has-background\">Prediction #6 &#8211; I predict a continued <strong>increase in service-oriented women\u2019s ministry events and activities<\/strong>. Many leaders are already noticing the desire younger women have to serve. Those who regularly plan <a href=\"https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/60-service-project-ideas\/\">service opportunities<\/a> see their ministry reach expanded beyond the core group that attends most ministry events. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trend #8 &#8211; Discernment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Leaders are waking up to the impact of social media on the theological beliefs of their women. Women are spending more time learning from Christian leaders on social media than in their local church. More often than not, those Christian leaders <strong>do not hold the same beliefs<\/strong> as their church teaches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-theme-primary-color has-theme-button-background-color has-text-color has-background\">Prediction #7 &#8211; I predict we\u2019ll continue to see <strong>intentional efforts to vet resources and speakers<\/strong>. Leaders realize that not all \u201cChristian\u201d books align with God\u2019s Word. Leaders are becoming more careful about checking for denominational differences on things like salvation, baptism, leadership roles in the church, and marriage. I predict more women\u2019s ministry teams will put a <strong>formal process<\/strong> in place for <strong>reviewing resources<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Trend # 8 &#8211; Mentoring and Discipleship<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There&#8217;s a marked increase in the number of women&#8217;s ministries that offer a <strong>formal, organized <a href=\"https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/mentoring-programs-resources\/\">mentoring or discipleship<\/a> program<\/strong>. Leaders are discovering organic mentoring, while ideal, rarely happens. Leaders understand the importance of <strong>in-person discipleship<\/strong> with women who sit under the same teaching and attend the same church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-theme-primary-color has-theme-button-background-color has-text-color has-background\">Prediction #8 &#8211; I predict an increase in <strong>formal, organized discipleship and mentoring programs<\/strong>. I predict groups within a church will use the same curriculum whether it be sermon alignment, apologetic, or theology materials to <strong>encourage a biblical worldview<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Are these things you\u2019re seeing in your women\u2019s ministry program? <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Are these things you see a need for in your church?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Are there some things you need to discuss with your team? <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maybe you need to put a <a href=\"https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/how-to-plan-a-womens-ministry-team-retreat\/\">planning retreat<\/a> for your team on your calendar. Maybe you need to add <a href=\"https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/coordinating-childcare-for-bible-study-and-womens-ministry-events\/\">childcare<\/a> or raise the age limit of the children you serve. Maybe your next big event needs a stronger <a href=\"https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/how-to-select-your-womens-ministry-theme-or-scripture-focus\/\">scripture focus<\/a>. Maybe your team needs to create a process for <a href=\"https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/selecting-discipleship-mentoring-and-bible-study-materials\/\">reviewing materials<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>If you need help with any of these things, please search the Women\u2019s Ministry Toolbox website and check out the online courses I offer at <a href=\"https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.teachable.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">womensministrytraning.com<\/a><\/strong>. Tweak what you find to make it work for the women in your church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Today\u2019s Toolbox Tasks:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Write down the <strong>one thing God highlighted<\/strong> for you in this post.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Schedule time in the near future to <strong>discuss that topic with your team<\/strong>. If you\u2019re not the team leader, take it to her first and ask her to pray about it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make a <strong>plan of action<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>As the culture changes our ministry must make <strong>intentional shifts to reach people<\/strong>.
