(Yikes!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I recommend you post 3-4 times per week.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Sharing regularly and frequently on your ministry social media account <strong>creates consistency, encourages connection, and increases interaction<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What should we post on social media?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Take the time to decide what type of posts and information support your <a href=\"https:\/\/womensministrytoolbox.com\/womens-ministry-social-media-plan\/\">ministry&#8217;s social media plan<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Below you&#8217;ll find a list of post ideas. You may find it helpful to start with 3-5 different types of posts that you can share consistently.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Social media post ideas<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>1. <strong>Bible verse graphics<\/strong> \u2013 Consider sharing the context of the verse, especially if it&#8217;s one that is often taken out of context.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. <strong>Inspirational quotes<\/strong> \u2013 I intentionally only quote famous Christian people who have died. In this day of deconstruction stories, leadership fails, changing theological positions, and celebrity Christianity, I may quickly regret having shared quotes from a current Christian leader, author, or speaker. Please make certain any quote you do share from someone, living or dead, lines up with the beliefs of your church. Some of my personal favorites include Deidrech Bonhoeffer, Billy Graham, Ruth Graham. Elizabeth Elliot, Corrie Ten Boom, C.S. Lewis, A. W. Tozer, and Warren Wiersbe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. <strong>Event publicity<\/strong> \u2013 Share event information, including registration deadlines, speaker photos, registration links, donation collections, sneak peek photos, teasers, childcare sign-up, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. <strong>Short devotionals<\/strong> &#8211; Consider asking women in your church to write a short devotional. Reach out to women in your church who are speakers and authors \u2013 they may be willing to help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. <strong>Memes<\/strong> \u2013 Add a bit of humor to your social media feed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. <strong>Links to Biblically sound resources<\/strong> \u2013 Check with your church staff for a list of recommended authors and bloggers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7. <strong>Photos<\/strong> &#8211; From past events and for upcoming events. Share a photo of a ministry team member, Bible study leader, or volunteer with some fun facts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8. <strong>Videos<\/strong> \u2013 Share highlights from a past event. Create a promo video for an upcoming event. Record and share testimonies. Interview team members or women in your church. Share a small segment from your weekly Bible study teaching (if it&#8217;s led by someone in your church). Share worship videos from Christian artists.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9. <strong>Icebreaker questions<\/strong> \u2013 Consider using a mix of fun and faith-focused questions. Icebreakers encourage interaction and provide connection opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10. <strong>Spotify Song Lists<\/strong> \u2013 Create and share a song list for your event or a list of inspirational songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>11. <strong>Prayer prompts<\/strong> \u2013 Invite your women to join your team in prayer for specific groups of people, missionaries, or topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>12. <strong>Ministry updates<\/strong> \u2013 Response from a recent outreach event, the number of retreat spots remaining, donation needs, newsletter links, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What not to post on social media?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>You&#8217;ve no doubt encountered social media posts that are not helpful, inaccurate, and unbiblical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I suggest you avoid:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Quotes, videos, or posts that <strong>do not align with your church&#8217;s beliefs<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bible verses that are taken <strong>out of context<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Content that <strong>violates your church&#8217;s social media guidelines<\/strong> (check to see if any are in place).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Content <strong>unrelated<\/strong> to your <strong>purpose<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Personal prayer requests should never be shared on public social media channels.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"fd-form-6059e110e8b3a8666bd6196f\"><\/div>\n<script>\n  window.fd('form', {\n    formId: '6059e110e8b3a8666bd6196f',\n    containerEl: '#fd-form-6059e110e8b3a8666bd6196f'\n  });\n<\/script>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Create a Weekly Social Media Schedule<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve found that creating a weekly social media schedule <strong>dramatically decreases the amount of time<\/strong> I spend setting up social media posts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I suggest creating a weekly plan with 3-4 posts each week.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Decide what type of post (from those listed above) you want to create or share each day of the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sunday, you could share a Bible verse. Maybe Monday you share an inspirational quote. Wednesday you could ask for prayer requests and praises. Friday you could alternate between general and spiritual icebreaker questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Write down your plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Having a written weekly schedule will simplify the process and minimize the time needed to schedule posts.<\/strong> You can always change up the types of posts to communicate important event information or point women toward time-sensitive resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Schedule Social Media Posts in Advance<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that you have a plan, it&#8217;s time to get your posts scheduled!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scheduling posts eliminates the need to log into your social media platform each day.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>To get started, you may want to post at the same time in the morning every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most social media platforms include free scheduling tools, but there are other options too. &nbsp;You may find a third-party social media scheduling tool easier to use or necessary if you&#8217;re posting the same content to more than one account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Third-Party Social Media Scheduling Tools<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/hootsuite.com\/\">Hootsuite<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/coschedule.com\/\">Coschedule<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hubspot.com\/\">Hubspot<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/meetedgar.com\/\">Meet Edgar<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/pro.iconosquare.com\/\">Iconsquare<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/buffer.com\/\">Buffer<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/smarterqueue.com\/\">Smarterque<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>I use Meta Business Suite inside Facebook to schedule my Facebook posts.
